Refund policy
14 days, no questions asked.
If Talk and Type Desktop Pro isn’t for you, email help@talkandtype.com within 14 days of your purchase and we’ll refund you in full. You don’t have to explain yourself, and we won’t try to talk you out of it.
One line is enough — the email address you bought with is all we need to find the order.
How it’s processed
Polar Software, Inc. is the merchant of record for Talk and Type Desktop Pro, so they process the refund back to your original payment method. That typically takes 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Once the refund is issued, your licence key is deactivated and the Pro features switch off. Talk and Type keeps working — the free version is unaffected, and nothing you have dictated or saved is touched or deleted.
If you’re in the EU or the UK
Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase, including digital content. Those rights apply to your purchase, and nothing here reduces them.
Our voluntary policy above is written to meet or exceed them: 14 days, no reason required, refunded in full.
Why we can be relaxed about this
Because nobody has to buy blind. The free version of Talk and Type is fully functional — core dictation, no account, no caps, no trial clock. You can use it for as long as you like before you decide whether the Pro features are worth A$19.99 to you.
A generous refund policy costs us very little when the product isn’t hiding behind a paywall in the first place.
